Serve at Go Camp

We are looking for volunteers who love arts & crafts to run the arts & crafts room during free time. This role would be responsible for planning craft activities, teaching the students how to do them, and overall leading the crafts area.

We are looking for a few experienced volunteers to monitor the grounds of the camp and ensure safety for everyone. We are looking for volunteers who are willing to stay up overnight to make sure students stay in their cabins.

We are looking for a crew of people interested in showing up to Camp Firwood in the afternoon of Friday September 1st prior to students arriving. This team will prepare camp for the weekend! Setup includes decorating common spaces, hanging cabin signs, setting up for registration and more!

For our Welcome Team, we are looking for an encouraging group of people who are wanting to help our students feel safe, excited, and invited into camp. This will mean committing to being at camp for the first couple hours near the entrance of camp, being excited while also directing students and families to where they need to be. Some people will also be designated to help with parking.

An essential part of running Go Camp happens right at the beginning of camp, and that is our Check-in process. We are looking for a team of people who can come in before camp begins on September 1st, to help with checking students in and sending them to their correct cabin assignments, and if needed, to our camp nurse to drop off medications. People who enjoy spreadsheets and lists would be perfect for this role!

People interested in helping with tear down are asked to show up in the morning of September 4th to begin packing and cleaning up camp. This will include our common spaces, checking cabins, and cleaning so that we leave the space as nice, if not nicer than how we found it.

We are asking that the church would join us in praying for our students and our volunteers for this weekend. We believe that Jesus moves in incredible ways when his church rallies around a cause. Even if you can't help at camp, we believe that anyone can help serve Jesus and his mission to see lives changed by joining us in prayer throughout the weekend, from wherever you are!
